Multi-Issue Organizations


Animal Protection Institute - advocates for the protection of animals from cruelty and exploitation with more than thirty years of fighting animal abuse.

Animal Rights International - Online - an international animal rights community that promotes cruelty free (vegetarian, vegan, fruitarian) alternatives.  Join the active discussion that deals with animal rights issues and informs about vegetarian, vegan and fruitarian diets.  Click on "Forum" on the top left of the home page for an enormous list of animal rights forums.

The Animal Spirit - a grassroots, not-for-profit, volunteer-based project dedicated to furthering Animal Rights and Animal Rescue through education.  The Website is comprised of organized informational pages for both the novice and the activist. It contains news articles, studies, essays, reference material, and resource links.

Animal Welfare Institute - a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1951 to reduce the sum total of pain and fear inflicted on animals by humans.

Compassion Over Killing - COK’s main function lies in conducting investigations, organizing public demonstrations and other educational activities, and actively working to bring about a kinder world for all of us, both human and nonhuman.

Emergency Relief Network - a project of International Fund for Animal Welfare.  They are looking to recruit people to get involved in their international efforts to save the animals.  The Emergency Relief Network is a community consisting of individuals all over the globe that are willing to contribute their time, energy or money to this important cause.  With IFAW leading the charge, the Network is relied upon to provide volunteers, mobilize supporters, donate supplies or raise funds during natural disasters or important take-action campaigns.

End Animal Suffering - We believe all living being who are capable of experiencing pain and suffering deserve the right to be granted rights. EAS takes much needed action to end factory farming, the abuse of house Animals, Animals in entertainment, the bloody fur trade, test on Animals and many other injustices that Animals suffer.

Feminists for Animal Rights - a national educational organization dedicated to ending all forms of abuse against women and animals.

Fund for Animals - with regional offices and qualified and dedicated personnel working on education, legislation, litigation, and hands-on care, The Fund for Animals achieves effective results on a lean budget.

Global Action Network - a nationally incorporated non-profit organization, dedicated to fostering environmental awareness and action. We achieve our mandate through education, grassroots organizing, coalition building, and political networking.  Global Action Network works in seven program areas: Sustainable Agriculture, Oceans, Wildlife, Animals in Entertainment, Globalization, Animals in Biomedical Research and Companion Animals.

Humane Society of the United States - The HSUS is dedicated to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion. We seek a truly humane society in which animals are respected for their intrinsic value, and where the human-animal bond is strong.

In Defense of Animals - a national organization dedicated to ending animal cruelty and exploitation wherever it might exist.

Last Chance for Animals - LCA recognizes that animals have the ability to experience pain, and as such they deserve certain basic rights protecting them from pain caused by humans. LCA believes that non-human animals should not be subjected to suffering and exploitation by humans because alternatives exist for nearly every traditional "usage" of animals.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - PETA is an  international nonprofit organization dedicated to exposing and eliminating animal abuse wherever it occurs. PETA uses public education, litigation, research and investigations, media campaigns, lobbying and grassroots organizing to accomplish its goal of protecting all species from exploitation and cruelty.

Physicians' Committee for Responsible Medicine - PCRM is a nonprofit organization that promotes preventative medicine, conducts clinical research and encourages higher standards for ethics and effectiveness in research.
