Center for Democracy & Technology- The public has the right to know about information collected, disseminated and maintained by the government in order to increase public accountability and awareness. CDT believes that the Internet is an ideal medium for gaining greater public access to government information.
CIA – Electronic Document Release Center – The CIA has established this site to provide the public with an overview of access to CIA information, including electronic access to previously released documents.
Federal Register – The Federal Register is the official daily publication for Rules, Proposed Rules, and Notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as Executive Orders and other Presidential Documents.
FedStats – the new window on the full range of official statistical information available to the public from the Federal Government. Access official statistics collected and published by more than 70 Federal agencies without having to know in advance which agency produces them.
Humane USA PAC The political arm of the animal protection movement. Formed in late 1999, Humane USA is the nation’s first major political action committee devoted to the task of electing humane-minded candidates to public office at the federal and state levels.
Humane Scorecard – A Project of The Humane Society of the United States and The Fund for Animals. Please study this scorecard and use it as a tool to ensure that your legislators represent your interests in Washington. Let them know you are watching and you appreciate their support for pro-animal legislation; or, if they haven’t done enough, let them know you’d like to see them do more.
HSUS – Government Affairs – The Government Affairs section is active in the U.S. Congress, in state legislatures, in ballot-initiative activity, and in the coordination of the Humane Activist Network. We work to promote animal protective legislation, to defeat bills that would harm animals, and to secure funding and enforcement of animal-protection laws already on the books.
